Your money is safe.
Throwda is built on bank-grade infrastructure so you can pay bills from WhatsApp without a second thought. Here is exactly how we protect you.
Paystack-secured payments
Every naira you spend through Throwda is processed by Paystack, Nigeria's most trusted payment processor and a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider. Your card details go directly to Paystack's secure servers — Throwda never sees, handles, or stores them. The same infrastructure that powers Piggyvest, Kuda, and Flutterwave protects your transaction.
We never store your card details
Throwda does not collect, store, or have access to your card number, CVV, PIN, or OTP at any point. When you pay, you interact directly with Paystack's payment page. We only receive a confirmation that your payment succeeded or failed — nothing more.
WhatsApp end-to-end encryption
Messages you send to Throwda on WhatsApp are protected by WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption. This means no one outside of your conversation — not WhatsApp, not third parties — can read the messages in transit. Your payment requests, receipts, and account details stay between you and Throwda.
Data encryption at rest
Your account information is stored in a secure, encrypted database hosted on Supabase with row-level security policies. Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.2+. Access is restricted to authenticated, authorised services only.
Automatic refunds on failed transactions
If a payment fails for any reason — network timeout, bank decline, service error — your money is automatically refunded. No forms to fill, no support tickets to raise, no waiting. Failed means refunded, every time.
Report a security issue
If you notice anything suspicious on your account or believe you have found a security vulnerability, please contact us immediately at security@throwda.com or message us on WhatsApp. We take every report seriously and will respond within 24 hours.
